Faller is a Clarion County native whose family goes back four generations to his great-great grandparents, Jacob and Mary Ann Faller, who settled in Fryburg, Clarion County, in the mid 1800s. Gregory A. Faller has been the owner of Faller's Furniture of Clarion and Fryburg for over three decades. In 2009 Faller retired from the day to day running of the furniture store with his son, Evan, taking over the reins. He also oversees the operation of the Fryburg Old Treasure Depot antique shop located in the furniture store building in Fryburg. Faller is associated with the Faller Funeral Home Inc. operated by his son, Adam.
For the past two years, Faller has served as Clarion County Jury Commissioner. In this position, he has been responsible for working with the other jury commissioner, Naomi Summerville, to provide a pool of jurors for Clarion County criminal and civil court cases. Before that, he was one of the three elected Clarion County Auditors. Over the course of 14 years as a Clarion County Auditor, Faller was instrumental in computerizing the office. This computerized system resulted in a comprehensive audit plan to conduct the audit on over ninety county accounts, including the county's thirty-four tax collectors. Accounts ranging from the county’s general fund and employee retirement fund both with budgets of millions of dollars to the county pop fund of a couple of hundred dollars. The end result of completing all of the audits was to file with the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) a county finance statement and produce the Clarion County Auditors Report. Serving as a Clarion County Auditor and Jury Commissioner, Faller has worked closely with all of the county offices and has developed a deep understanding of the workings of county government.
In addition, Gregory A. Faller is very active in the local community. He serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 58, North Clarion Area. He is the local Red Cross coordinator for blood drives held at the St. Michael’s social hall each spring and fall. Greg Faller is a member of the Pennsylvania Snowmobile Association and is an associate member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. He is a member of St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg serving on the finance committee.
Faller said his experiences as county auditor and jury commissioner have been very rewarding, and he wants to use these experiences to continue serving the people of Clarion County.
